In their life-long focus on the Collective Unconscious, Carl Jung models the unconscious as multilayered and hierarchical patterns which can be organized in some preferred manners and description the life's journey as well as the gifts and challenges of the baby. He names those patterns archetypes and that he finds them in every cultures - inside the myths, stories, symbols, common themes.

Caroline Myss defines them as "energy guides that could direct people toward their spiritual purpose" Each archetype, based on her, represents a "face" along with a "function" of the Collective Unconscious that manifests within all of individual in the unique way.


This is just one explanation from the archetypes. The spiritual seekers, the same as Caroline Myss observe the archetypes as prototypes of gods and goddesses facets of which are encoded in each individual.

In the academic world, the archetypes arrive as preferences towards metaphors, songs, movies, television shows, etc plus they are turning up inside the language people use and also the language they like to hear.
