Within his life-long work with the Collective Unconscious, Carl Jung models the unconscious as multilayered and hierarchical patterns that are organized in certain preferred manners and description the life's journey plus the gifts and challenges of the baby. He names those patterns archetypes and the man finds them in most cultures - within the myths, stories, symbols, common themes.

Caroline Myss defines them as "energy guides that may direct people toward their spiritual purpose" Each archetype, according to her, represents a "face" plus a "function" with the Collective Unconscious that manifests within everyone of individual in the unique way.


This is just one explanation from the archetypes. The spiritual seekers, the same as Caroline Myss see the archetypes as prototypes of gods and goddesses aspects of which are encoded in every individual.

Within the academic world, the archetypes arrive as preferences towards metaphors, songs, movies, tv programs, etc plus they are showing up inside the language people use as well as the language they prefer to know.

Scientists explain archetypes as such as a hologram. In the essence a hologram is similar to something else. Thus, the archetypes are very different prototypes that exist completely in the face of different individuals.

For that religious individuals the archetypes are very different faces of the one God.

Among all explanations from the concept the interested and involved in persona growth individuals view the archetypes as a guide within the life journey.
